Leila Jarrahi, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and AASECT Certified Sex Therapist who has been practicing since 1997. A dedicated member of the Guttman and Pearl Associates team since 2009, Dr. Jarrahi has spent the last 17 years specializing in couples therapy, helping partners navigate the journey from isolation back to connection.

With nearly three decades of clinical experience, Leila offers a rare depth of insight into relationship and sexual problems, anxiety, and depression. She possesses particular expertise in helping couples heal from infidelity, manage chronic relational strain, and revitalize their emotional and sexual intimacy.

Leila’s therapeutic style is interactive, respectful, and insight-oriented. Often described as warm and safe, she uses a touch of humor to guide the growth process, making it easier for clients to discuss even the most sensitive difficulties. She believes in empowering her clients with a practical “toolkit” to navigate their relationships and build a more fulfilling life.

An integrative practitioner, she draws from Interpersonal, Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) methods. As a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, she is uniquely equipped to help couples transform conflict into a catalyst for healing.

Dr. Jarrahi earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University, an MS from Indiana University, and a BA from UNC Chapel Hill. Her extensive training background includes clinical work at the counseling centers of Indiana University, Butler University, Texas A&M, UNC Charlotte, and George Mason University. She is licensed in Maryland and D.C. and is proficient in Farsi.
